Computer simulation

Some of your operation can be simulated on special 2D and 3D computer software.

2D simulation

Your digital photos of your face taken from the different angles are uploaded in the software and together with you we can find the best option for your postoperative result. Computer simulation can be used in almost all operative procedures, but the best result is achieved in rhinoplasty and orthognatic surgery. From the different treatment option, in cooperation with us, you can decide the best postoperative result for you. Pre and post op pictures you can take home and discuss different treatment result with your family and friends.

3D simulation

For 3D simulation we need CT scans and for the orthognatic cases 3D scans of plaster models of your upper and lower jaw. 3D technology offers you simulation of the postoperative result in all three dimensions.

With computer simulation you can better explain what you expect from the operation and surgeon can tell you whether or how it is possible to perform.

The best results with computer software are achieved in simulation of the bone movement and it is not that accurate in the soft tissue. From the experience, we know that postoperative results, especially in the lip and chin position, are better than what is present in computer simulation.
